STEFAN AND KAREN BEGIN EDITING AGAIN AFTER HIATUS!

Stefan and Karen began editing again today, after a hiatus to work on the Sydney Underground Film Festival. This starts the new round of editing to complete the film and with the hiatus has brought fresh pairs of eyes! With a newfound excitement, the Sydney Underground Films team hope to get the film to a stage by the end of the year to have a test screening with an audience.

Also, both Stefan and Katherine have booked flights to go back to Dawson City to complete the film whilst being the Artists-in-Residence through the amazing Klondike Institute of Art and Culture. This will also give them time to finish of the film without all the Sydney distractions!

Stefan and Kath will also show a preview of the film at the Dawson City Film Festival in early April - so Sydneysiders who were a part of the film should definitely come and join them for that alongside all the lovely Dawson folk.

NUDE STUDY Synopsis

A ravenous vision of beauty and sensuality, NUDE STUDY explores the hearts and minds of two very different women. A chance journey to a frozen town brings them together, but a power play of love and lust entangles them, both physically and emotionally. Is home really where the heart is?

Burning sun

The sun was beating down on the cast and crew during the oz shoot of Nude Study. Here is a pic of Jackie trying to escape the sun in-between takes.

We need more peas!

Ivan Zelic (who plays Sarah's (ex) husband "Reginald") playing the part of the priest in Sarah's re-make of the film "The Exorcist" in the film. We had a modified yabby pump and lots of mashed peas. I'm sure this was the highlight of Ivan's shoot! (It sure was one of ours!)

NUDE STUDY update numero uno

Welcome to the first post regarding the new feature film, NUDE STUDY.

Well it has been a long, winding road to get to this point but we are all very excited about how the film is coming along... Firstly though, just to bring any newbies up to speed, Nude Study was half shot in the frozen Yukon town of Dawson in January 2008 and was completed in late January 2009 filming in both Sydney and Port Macquarie. We met some fantastic and talented people along the way and would like to sincerely thank everyone for making this film a reality.

We have now moved into the post-production side of things with Stefan and Karen spending numerous days and nights slogging away in the editing room at the Sydney Underground Films HQ (don't laugh the cave does exist). With the gorgeous Canadian footage now in a rough edit stage, editing is just about to begin on the incredibly intense (but at times hilarious) footage shot earlier this year in Australia.

On the music side of things, we are thrilled to have the equally amazing Naomi Radom and Hugo Race creating the soundtrack for the film. These two are so onto it, already laying down incredible tracks for the film and soon to lay down more in the coming months.

Marty Rhone (father character of 'Gerald') also got this "controversial" film some exposure recently in Urban Cinefile. Please check out:

On the less interesting side (but just as important), the Producing team are looking for funding opportunities and / or private investors for completion funds to finish the film in tip top shape and on schedule.
